Description

• Ficus is an evergreen plant and has beautiful lush foliage. 
• There are more than a hundred varieties of Ficus. Common plants in the Ficus family are Ficus Religiosa (Peepal), Ficus Elastica (Rubber plant), and Ficus Microcarpa (Green island Ficus). 
• It is an extremely hardy plant and is ideal for making bonsais as it grows aerial roots very easily and the stem attains woody texture very quickly. 
• It is an outdoor and low-maintenance plant.
• It can easily be multiplied using branch/stem cuttings or air layering. 

Care Instructions

• Water: Water the plants only when the soil is dry.
• Soil: Ficus plants can grow in all soil types as they have a strong root system but for quicker growth, use well-draining and porous soil which is rich in nutrients.
• Sunlight: Ficus is a sun-loving plant. 
• Do not keep it indoors for too long as it starts to shed leaves.  
• Ficus needs regular pruning to keep the plant in shape.
