The Marigold plant is also called the ‘Tagetes’ botanically and is a genus of annual plants in the family Asteraceae. The plants are native to Mexico and have pinnate green leaves. The blooms naturally occur in golden, orange, yellow, and white colors, often with maroon highlights. Marigolds are also considered sacred in Hindu culture and are often used as offerings in temples and pooja ceremonies.
